| Biography | Martin Bechthold is Professor of Architectural Technology, Co-Director of the Master in Design Studies Program, Director of the GSD fabrication labs, and Director of the interdepartmental GSD Technology Platform. Bechthold heads the Design Robotics Group, a research unit focussed on robotic and other computerized fabrication. His current research projects include the Ceramic Futures project, which is promoted by ASCER (Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association) and is part of the Ceramic Tile Studies Department Network, a case on the Low2No Project in Helsinki, and the use of robotic fabrication in architecture. |

| Biography | Juanjo Castellón earned his degree in architecture from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) and M. Arch. in Emergent Technologies & Design from the Architectural Association School of London. He is currently working as a researcher at the D-ARCH of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ), where he is doing his doctoral thesis. He lectures in Digital Culture at the Barcelona Institute of Architecture (BIArch) and he has worked as an architect in prestigious international studios, such as Abalos & Herreros in Madrid, FOA in London, SHoP Architects in New York, and Herzog & de Meuron in Basel. His research work focuses, mainly, on the integration of digital tools and contemporary design processes with traditional materials and systems, in particular, ceramics. |

| Biography | Architecture studio “Equip Arquitectura Pich-Aguilera” established together with architect Teresa Batlle. Specialisation in Construction from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. PhD in architecture with the dissertation: “Principal socio-economic factors affecting architecture, the case of Catalan modernism and its time". Founding Member of the International University of Catalonia’s School of Architecture (ESARQ-UIC). President of the School Councils (1996–1999). Professor of 4th course projects since 2009. Director of the Chair of Industrialisation and Environment (CEIM). Founding Member of the Architecture and Sustainability Grouping of the Catalonian College of Architects (AuS). President of GBC España, Spanish representative at the iiSBE - International and World Green Building Council Since 1996 he has delivered courses and lectures in seminars and workshops, and master courses at Schools of Architecture and institutions linked to sustainability in building processes and respect for the natural environment in Catalonia, Spain, and abroad. |

| Biography | Degree in Chemical Sciences (specialty Industrial Chemistry) from the University of Valencia in 1987 and Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from Universitat Jaume I of Castellón in 1995. He has been a staff member of the Instituto de Tecnología Cerámica (ITC) since 1988, where he has basically carried out all his professional activity, and he has been a university teacher since 1989. At ITC he has participated as a researcher in over 100 R&D&I projects funded by private companies as well as by public organisations. In this period he has co-authored 5 books as well as 80 articles in national and international scientific journals. He has presented more than 100 papers at national and international conferences and delivered over 40 lectures and courses on different aspects of Ceramic Technology and Environmental Engineering at companies, universities, and research centres in Spain and in other countries of Europe, Asia, and America. At present he is Head of the Area for the Environment, Energy, and Occupational Health at the Instituto de Tecnología Cerámica and Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Universitat Jaume I of Castellón. |

Mr. Goldberg is involved in all phases of a building project, from research and design development, to construction monitoring and forensic investigations. Mr. Goldberg has over 32 years of architectural and construction industry experience.He is an internationally recognized specialist in ceramic tile architecture, and he is responsible for design and specification of many significant tile façade cladding projects, including the 75 story Al Hamra Tower, Kuwait, the Brooklyn Children's Museum, New York City, USA and the Hilton Rainbow Tower, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. |
